Even with medical insurance, Dan’s uninsured expenses were estimated at $20,000 for needs such as transportation, temporary housing, healthcare deductibles, and prescriptions. We are happy to say that insurance is covering some housing expenses that they originally denied. And we are extremely grateful to those who have donated! It is a huge help, especially since Jane had to take unpaid time away from teaching to be Dan’s caregiver. We appreciate further donations …
A fundraising campaign has been established with the National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF) in honor of Dan. NTAF is a nonprofit(c)(3) organization that has been assisting the transplant community for twenty-five years. All contributions are administered by NTAF exclusively for uninsured transplant-related expenses. Donations are tax-deductible.
